INTERACTIVE PLANT LABELS:
80 Ann Street

Blaklash were engaged by Mirvac to develop a series of plant labels for use throughout landscaped spaces at the new commercial tower at 80 Ann Street, Brisbane City. Mirvac asked that the series reflect First Nations knowledges and culture, with Blaklash collaborating with a broader First Nations team to deliver the scope.

Blaklash worked with Koori chef, Chris Jordan, of Indigenous catering business  Three Little Birds, to develop a series of plant labels which provided information about native species.

Chris then developed a series of recipes making use of these native plants, which were made available via a QR code on the plant labels. This integration of technology provided a further educational and conversation opportunity for the project in the hopes of connecting people within the spaces to First Nations culture.
